Dr Robert O’Connor PhD

Robert, is an accomplished research director with over 25 years of experience in a variety of fields, across cancer research, management, education, advocacy, governance and communication.

He started his career as an Academic and Researcher. He was a board member of several national Health and Cancer Research organisations. He served for seven years as the Director of Research for the Irish Cancer Society and was Director of the National Clinical Trials Office.
He is Chairperson of the boards of ARC Cancer Support and the National Cancer Registry.

He is passionate about using research to improve health outcomes and has a wealth of experience in patient research partnerships, clinical trials, cancer, medicine development and translational health research.
