Dr. M. Raheel Khan
Dr. M. Raheel Khan, MBBS, MRCP (Ireland), MRCPS (Glasgow), MD (UCD) is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at St. James’s Hospital, Dublin, specializing in genitourinary and gynaecological malignancies. He serves as the Lead Investigator for the SLECT Trial with Cancer Trials Ireland, a national study exploring long-term outcomes in testicular cancer survivorship, which achieved the highest recruitment rate among genitourinary trials in the country. His research focuses on improving quality of life and long-term health outcomes for cancer survivors, with multiple first-author publications in leading journals such as Supportive Care in Cancer, Discovery Oncology, and Cancers MDPI.
Dr. Khan has played a key role in developing survivorship and nurse-led clinics across Ireland, including the INSPIRE Prostate Cancer Survivorship Clinic at St. James’s Hospital and new testicular cancer clinics in tertiary centres. He also contributes to national research governance as a Lead Reviewer on the Safety Monitoring Committee of Cancer Trials Ireland.
His professional memberships include the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), and Cancer Trials Ireland. Dr. Khan is completing his MD in Clinical Research at University College Dublin, where his work continues to shape survivorship care models for testicular cancer patients worldwide.
