Dr Helen Ryan
Helen graduated from medicine in UCD in 2006 and pursued training in obstetrics and gynaecology, receiving her membership of the RCPI in 2009. She moved to Canada in 2011 as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and obtained an MD through UCD for her research. She completed clinical training in General practice in Vancouver, Canada through UBC.
She worked as a GP with special interest in women’s health in Vancouver until 2021 before returning to the Mater hospital gynaecological oncology department as an associate specialist. She is an accredited Menopause Specialist and a member of the British Menopause Society. She is passionate about all areas of reproductive and preventative health, particularly the effect of menopause on women with cancer.
