Dr Gopa Iyer

Dr. Gopa Iyer is a GU medical oncologist focusing on the management of patients with urothelial cancers. After completing his fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, he remained on staff and is currently the Urothelial Cancer Section Head, a role involving prioritization of clinical trials in urothelial cancer. He has a joint appointment in the Early Drug Development Service where he runs phase I clinical trials of systemic and targeted therapies for patients with metastatic solid tumors. His research focuses on the genomic characterization of urothelial tumors and the development of novel agents to optimize the care of patients with urothelial cancer.
