Louise Kelly

Louise Kelly is a registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner (RANP) in Sexual Health, Menopause and Fertility with the newly established ICS/TSJCI Young Onset Cancer Programme at St James’s Hospital, Dublin.

Louise completed her nursing training at St James’s Hospital, Dublin and graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a BSc in Science (General Nursing) in 2009. Louise is a registered nurse prescriber since 2021, and a RANP since 2023 on completion of a MSc in Advanced Practise (Nursing) with UCD. Louise also completed a level 9 cert in Sexual Health Advising from Staffordshire University in 2019 and is a registered smear-taker with CervicalCheck.

Louise lived and nursed in Australia from 2010-2016, working on a combined infectious diseases’ and respiratory unit and was promoted to ID/Resp CNS in 2015. On return to Ireland in 2016, Louise worked in the area of HIV and Sexual Health at the GUIDe Clinic (SJH). Louise was promoted to HIV CNS at the GUIDe clinic from 2017-2024, with a focus on HIV and Oncology and HIV and Woman’s Health including participating in a fortnightly ‘HIV, Sexual health and pregnancy’ clinic at the Coombe Hospital, Dublin.

Louise was promoted to the position of RANP in sexual health, menopause and fertility with the ICS/TSJCI Young Onset Cancer Programme at St James’s Hospital, Dublin, in Sept 2024.
