Dr. Niamh Peters
Dr. Niamh Peters graduated from University College Cork in 2012. She spent 18 months in New Zealand before returning home to Ireland to complete her basic specialist training in medicine and higher specialist training in medical oncology. In 2020, she was awarded an Ainsworth Scholarship from UCC to assist with her clinical research fellowship in Experimental Cancer Medicine in The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester.
She was appointed as a Medical Oncologist and Co-Director of the clinical trials unit at University Hospital Limerick in 2023. She is a recent recipient of a Movember equity grant, which will help further research on the cancer experiences of men 60+ living in rural areas in Midwest Ireland.
