Dr Alan Hussey

Alan Hussey is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Galway University Hospital and Clinical Director of the Perioperative Managed Clinical Academic Network (MCAN) for Saolta University Health Care Group.

He has a special interest in microvascular reconstruction after mastectomy, and head and neck ablation.

He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer with the Division of Surgery at University of Galway, with an interest in surgical simulation. He is an Intercollegiate Examiner for the FRCS (Plast) examination with JCIE

He is living with Stage 4 colorectal cancer, and is currently being treated at his place of work. He is married with 4 children.
