Patrice is the RANP in Tallaght University Hospital and 1ST in medical oncology services for Oncology patient’s service in
Registered as an ANP in Nov 22 in TUH
Patrice role involves the implementation survivorship in medical oncology services. 1st phase of her role is Survivorship for patients following treatment for Testicular Cancer. Aim is to screen and assess patients for long term side effects of Testicular Ca where complications due to chemotherapy can be more impactful then the diagnosis itself.
Patrice trained as a general nurse in University College Cork. Previously had spent 2 years in the defence forces where completed a level 7 in defence and leadership studies with NUI Maynooth Since graduating she has gained extensive experience working in both oncology and haematology inpatient wards and the Oncology Day Ward. Initially as a staff nurse, CNM1, and then CNS in oncology services in CUH and SVPH
Portfolio includes an BSc (Hons) in General Nursing from the UCC and a Postgraduate Diploma in Oncology Nursing from UCD .Diploma health assessment and prescribing and MSC in Advanced Practice in Sept 22. She has a special interest in developing survivorship services special interest in GU Malignancies.
