Dr Alex Shoushtari

Dr. Shoushtari is an Associate Attending Physician on the Melanoma Service and a member of the Cellular Therapy Service at MSKCC. He is a clinic-based researcher who is best known for work in the subset of melanomas that arise on non-sun exposed areas and are typically more difficult to treat with traditional immune checkpoint inhibitors than their sun-exposed counterparts.

He has also helped define the clinical use of TMB and expanded MAP Kinase driver testing in cutaneous melanomas. His work to date has been recognized by ASCO, AACR, the Melanoma Research Foundation, and the Melanoma Research Alliance.
